A tabletop miniature wargame produced by Games Workshop since 1987, set in a bleak, war-torn science fiction and fantasy universe. The setting has spawned numerous novels, games and movie adaptations.
Its tagline became the namesake for the grimdark genre of works of fiction as bleakly dystopian as WH40K or sometimes even more so.
