adeptus astartes

The Adeptus Astartes (Space Marines) are a tabletop army in Warhammer 40K. They are a faction within the Imperium of Man, and consist of genetically modified warrior monks. The Adeptus Astartes is split into many chapters of a thousand marines. Each chapter has their own distinct appearance, and some differ quite a bit in terms of traits and tactics. Space Marines are known for wearing massive power armor, painted in their chapter's colors, and wielding bolters.
