One of the two protagonists of the original series that kicked off the Kamen Rider franchise.

Takeshi Hongo is kidnapped by the terrorist organization, Shocker, and surgically altered into a cyborg. Hongo, however, manages to escape before being brainwashed to do Shocker's bidding and uses his new power to begin his war against evil as the first Kamen Rider.

To avoid confusion with No. 2, his gloves and boots are white. In Kamen Rider the First and the Next he is dark blue with a white belt.
