The second protagonist of the original Kamen Rider television series.
After Takeshi Hongo's desertion of Shocker, Ichimonji Hayato is kidnapped and reconstructed into a cyborg with the sole purpose of eliminating Kamen Rider, but is rescued by Hongo before brainwashing could take place.
Ichimonji is christened the second Kamen Rider and joins Hongo in his fight against Shocker.
He is differentiated from No. 1 with his red gloves and boots. In the Kamen Rider films the First and the Next, he is colored green with a red belt.
