ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam
One of ZAFT's Second Stage mobile suits. Piloted more famously by the, fittingly, impulsive Shinn Asuka, the unit became known for destroying Kira Yamato's Freedom Gundam - even if he miraculously survived the dangerous ordeal. After Shinn receives the more powerful Destiny Gundam, the Impulse is handed down to Lunamaria Hawke.

The Impulse is analogous to Earth Alliance' older Strike Gundam, due to the former also having different specialized backpacks for flight and high mobility, close-quarters power and long-range fire support, which matches those of the latter's own.
