The ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam is a nuclear powered mobile suit developed by ZAFT for long-ranged high speed combat, owing to its armaments and its 10-winged design. Its trademark feature is the "Full Burst Mode", the ability to take down multiple enemies in one full volley of its weapons.

It is designed as the companion unit of the Justice Gundam, and is piloted by Kira Yamato.

Owing to its popularity, the Freedom Gundam is one of four machines from the Gundam universe to have a 1:1 scale statue in the real world - in this case, in Shanghai, China - alongside the Unicorn Gundam, the Nu Gundam, and the RX-78-2 Gundam.
