The fifth generation of the Toyota Supra. Began production in 2020, reviving the Supra 18 years after the Mk IV's discontinuation with a design based on the FT-1 concept car. Developed in partnership with BMW, the Mk V uses the same platform as the G29 Z4 and shares many parts with its sibling.
Despite being a long-awaited revival of an iconic car, the Mk V Supra is controversial among many enthusiasts due it's reliance on BMW parts. Unlike the previous Supras, which used Toyota engines, the Mk V uses BMW-built engines and is constructed in Germany - leading many detractors to dismiss it as "merely a rebadged Z4."
