The ZB-26 or ZB vz. 26 (incorrect nomenclature) is a gas-operated, Czechoslovak light machine gun, chambered for the 7.92x57mm Mauser cartridge. Developed in the 1920s, designed by Václav Holek, and mainly manufactured by Zbrojovka Brno, it saw major use during World War II by several militaries. The design of the ZB-26 heavily influenced the British Bren LMG, as well as the Japanese Type 96 and Type 99 light machine guns.
