Astra Militarum military faction in Warhammer 40K. Valhallan Ice Warriors are known for their ferocity and determination even in the face of overwhelming odds and extreme losses, and are experts at winter, mountain, attritional, and anti-Ork warfare. Famously, Hero Commissar Ciaphas Cain began his career alongside Valhallan units. Visually, the Valhallan Ice Warriors are based off the Soviet Union's Red Army, as opposed to the Vostroyan Firstborns, which are based off the Russian Cossacks and Tsarist era.
