The Sienar Fleet Systems TIE Advanced X1 is an advanced experimental starfighter prototype of the original dual energy cannon TIE Fighter, now also equipped with missile launchers, a fully functional hyperdrive and powerful energy shields. It was designed in-universe by the Empire's weapon designer Raith Sienar, famous for creating many other Imperial weaponry.
The TIE Advanced is the fighter of choice of Darth Vader, the Galactic Empire's top starfighter ace pilot.
In real life it was designed by Ralph McQuarrie in the 70s.
