snake eyes (character)

スネークアイズ スネークアイ

A character from the G.I. Joe toy line, comic books, cartoon and live action film series.

Snake Eyes (also released as Snake-Eyes) is one of the original and most known members of the G.I. Joe Team.

A lone silent commando clad in a black outfit and mask, Snake Eyes is an expert in unorthodox martial arts and advanced close-quarters combat, hand-to-hand combat, infiltration, stealth and firearms. He is one of the most prominent characters in the G.I. Joe franchise, having appeared in every series of the franchise since its inception.

He never speaks and only communicates through hand gestures. To this day, nobody knows if he can actually say a word.

Snake-Eyes debuted as an action figure in 1982. His figure is considered the most popular G.I. Joe toy ever, with 68 different versions released as of 2014.

He is portrayed by actor/stuntman Ray Park in the 2009 live-action film G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and the 2013 sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation.
