luggabeast

A fictional alien creature from the new sequel trilogy of Star Wars films. It first appeared in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie from 2015.

The Luggabeast is a type of non-sentient, quadruped alien species that lived in the galaxy. In the decades following the Battle of Endor, luggabeasts could be found on the desert world of Jakku, where the Teedo population used the beasts for scavenging.

To help them locate droids and other valuables, the Teedos gave the creatures several cybernetic implants and other robotic enhancements such as armor, detection equipment, sensors or optical instruments turning them into cyborg beasts of burden.
