joe higashi

The tritagonist and co-protagonist of the Fatal Fury series alongside the Bogard brothers Terry and Andy, and one of the main characters in The King of Fighters series.

Joe is a, if not the, world Muay Thai champion. He is famous for his Hurricane Upper move, which he throws an uppercut and summons a hurricane to attack enemies.

He normally wears red kickboxing trunks with a yellow trim and a red belt, complete with white tape on his wrist and brown ankle guards; but his outfit varies within each game. In the first Fatal Fury, he wears yellow trunks with a red trim and belt, both his wrists and ankles taped. In Real Bout Fatal Fury Special, he wears blue trunks with a red trim and belt, complete with tape on his wrist and ankle guards that match his trunks. He almost always wears a white headband with a red symbol on the front, typically a red dot.

As of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, he has taken on a disciple, the young scientist Preecha.
