grand admiral thrawn

Grand Admiral Thrawn is a fictional character in Star Wars created by Timothy Zahn. He originally appeared in the Star Wars Expanded Universe's novels, the Thrawn trilogy, before he was made canon in the new Disney Star Wars' canon.

A Grand Admiral within the Galactic Empire, Thrawn is a Chiss, a race of red eyed, blue skin aliens, which is unusual in the Empire since the Empire are pro-Human and discriminate against alien races. Yet despite that, Thrawn was not only accepted within the Empire but was able to rise to a high position within the Imperial Navy. A brilliant strategist who is well respected by his men, Thrawn commands the remants of the Galactic Empire, following their defeat with Rebel Alliance.

In both the Star Wars: Rebels cartoon and the live action series Star Wars: Ahsoka, Thrawn is voiced and portrayed by Lars Mikkelsen.
