In Berserk, Casca is a female mercenary who was once part of the Band of the Hawk led by Griffith. She and Guts developed a rocky relationship that would soon turn to love, but that would be tragically cut short with the events of the Eclipse, in which she was marked with the same Brand of Sacrifice that Guts has. Driven insane by the horrors she suffered, she is now Guts's only link to sanity.
