A Yugoslavian (later Serbian) car company, named after the same factory plant that gave Zastava Arms its name. Signed a cooperation agreement with Fiat at its proper establishment, with many of its cars being Yugoslav derivatives of Fiat's cars (ex. the famous Zastava 750 or 'Fića' being based on the Fiat 600), though also getting licensing agreements with other Italian manufacturers.

Became internationally (in)famous in the 1980s and 90s, after it began selling its cars in the West - branding its cars with the Yugo name - due to its quality compared to Western cars (in spite of them being the highest quality in the region, enabling them to sell abroad in the first place). The Yugo-era cars were notably designed by Zastava with Fiat support, as opposed to purely being adapted Fiat designs. These would be the Zastava Yugo (the famous one), the Zastava Skala (Yugo Skala), and Zastava Florida (Yugo Florida).

Following the 1990s, Zastava went into decline, and shut down in 2008. The parent company, Group Zastava Vehicles, entered bankruptcy in 2018, and was sold off in 2024 to a local consortium. The Yugo brand would be acquired by Globo Car Care in 2025. The automobile section of the plant would be acquired by Fiat in 2008, now known as Fiat Serbia. It produced the Fiat 500L until 2022, and began producing the Fiat Grande Panda from 2024 onward.
