The overall antagonist of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise.
Originally introduced as a nameless Purple Man, Afton was revealed in spinoffs and eventually the main games to be the culprit behind the deaths of the children possessing Foxy, Chica, Bonnie, and Freddy, as well as the death of the child possessing the Puppet. Not long after the events of Five Nights 1, he accidentally kills himself wearing the malfunctioning Spring Bonnie suit, becoming the undead monstrosity Springtrap. If nothing else, Afton is determined, and will always come back when defeated. Has a daughter, Elizabeth Afton, and a son, Michael Afton.
