The Wieger StG-940 was an East German series of 5.56×45mm NATO assault rifles loosely based upon the AK-74, intended for export. Visually recognizable by its clubfoot-shaped buttstock or clothes hanger-shaped folding one, slimline two-piece polymer handguard without ventilations, threaded muzzle and all-black finish.
