Watase Kouichi (JP: 渡瀬 公一, わたせ こういち) is the player of Tokimeki Memorial 2. He is voiced by Kamiya Hiroshi in the CD drama version of the game. Born at March 21st and has the blood type of O.
Unlike the prequel, he can play from his childhood, playing around with Hinomoto Hikari. In the high school, he enters the same class as his childhood friend, along with the information shotabroker Sakaki Takumi and rival Hokari Jun'ichirou. At first he doesn't belong to any club, meanwhile he is trying to become active in the romance at first but gradually fades while spending ordinary days. He cannot leave a troubled person alone and he must do whatever is asked. He is currently unaware of Hikari's favor.
He is known as Iwase Takeru (JP: 岩瀬 健, いわせ たける) in the game's novelization.
