The VF-22 Sturmvogel II is a variable fighter from the Macross 7 mecha anime TV series.

It is the mass produced version of the YF-21 prototype from the Macross Plus OVA. Its main differences are the abscence of the experimental mind control system and an extra window in the front part of the canopy of the mecha in fighter mode.

In real life it was designed by Kawamori Shouji and Miyatake Kazutaka in the 90s.
