A fictional type of mecha equipment from the MACROSS science fiction series.

The Tornado Pack is a special weapon pack created for the VF-25 variable fighter that has a multi-directional turret with two powerful beam cannons as well as additional armor and thrusters in it.

It first appeared in the Macross Frontier: Itsuwari No Utahime animated movie from 2009.

In real life it was designed by artist and series creator Kawamori Shouji. The Tornado Pack was inspired by an early design Kawamori created for the original VF-1 mecha from the first Macross TV series from the 80s, but that was never used back then.
