A 1999 Western Mecha Animated Movie directed by Brad Bird and produced by Warner Bros. Animation. Loosely based on the 1968 novel, The Iron Man, by Ted Hughes, the movie is set in the town of Rockwell, Maine during the Cold War. The movie follows Hogarth Hughes, a curious young boy who lives with his single mother, Annie Hughes. Hogarth soon discover a giant alien robot from space, the Iron Giant (voices by Vin Diesel), and befriend it while helping protect his new friend from the US Military.
