Hailing from the Land of Wa, where he led the Eastern ogres, Takemaru enjoys DIY projects. He surrendered his blade, his only form of protection, in order to protect his friends, and has instead made sure his neck will be invulnerable from now on. Since coming to Tokyo, he has joined the group that bonded his neck, the Kamata Crafters, and is attending college to learn about architecture. He recognizes his own dislike of angels and humans, races who have deceived him in the past, and yet he possesses a strong sense of duty and is easily charmed. He dreams of one day having a life companion to be lovey-dovey with, so he's devoted himself to creating a home fit for that future.
