The name for mecha in Muv-Luv Alternative and it's spinoffs. After fighter jets and aerial weapons were deemed useless by Laser-class BETA, humanity developed the bipedal Tactical Surface Fighter (TSF) to combat the extraterrestrial threat.

As fighter development was ground to a halt in the series' alternate history, many TSFs share their names with real world fighter jets.
