Souther (サウザー), also romanized as Thouzer, is one of the antagonists from Hokuto no Ken.
Souther represents the "Star of Leadership" (将星, Shosei), which rules over the other Nanto stars. His fighting style is Nanto Ho-oh Ken (南斗鳳凰拳, "South Star Phoenix Fist"), the strongest of the Nanto Seiken, which is a purely offensive style with no defensive stance. He is immune to most of the techniques of the Hokuto Shinken because of his "Emperor's Armor," a congenital condition called situs inversus totalis which completely reverses the position of his internal organs and pressure points.
Souther was orphaned as an infant and was raised by the previous Ho-oh Ken successor, Ohgai, who trained him during childhood. During his final training lesson, Souther unwillingly killed his sensei, who intentionally allowed himself to be killed by the former as a part of the succession test. Traumatized by the event, Souther disavowed all feelings of love and compassion. After the Nuclear War, he takes on the title of Holy Emperor (聖帝, Seitei) and enslaves children with his army in order to construct the Holy Cross Pyramid, a shrine to his deceased sensei.

- An attack which leaves a cross-shaped wound on the opponent's chest.
- 天翔十字鳳 (Tenshou Juuji Hou)
- The style's ultimate technique. Souther takes a stance with his arms held out evenly, like a cross. As the name suggests, it is launched into a powerful aerial attack. This technique makes the user so light and graceful that he can glide over any physical attack.
