SOAP is a brand of shoes that was founded in 1997. They are designed for skateboard grinding on railings because of the plastic concavity on their soles.
The shoes are best known for their appearance in the Sonic series. In Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic the Hedgehog wears a custom version of the Scorcher variant, as grinding was introduced as a gameplay mechanic. They would continue to appear in later games such as Sonic Forces and Sonic Frontiers.
