shrek (series)
A series of 3D animated films developed by Dreamworks Studios in the early 2000s. The movies focus on the troubles of the titular ogre and his companions while parodying children's fairy tales, especially Disney's adaptations. In the mid-late 2010s, Shrek would see resurgence as a recurring internet meme.
