shop owner (wario land)

A character in Wario Land 4. A mysterious entity that runs the Item Shop before each Boss Door.

The entity will use the items purchased to damage the boss preemptively before the battle begins. Some of the items purchased do not give you a physical item, but instead will have the Shop Owner transform into different creatures to do the damage themselves. These transformations are the Black Dog, the Large Lips, the Big Fist and the Black Dragon.

You can also order a free "Smile", but it doesn't do anything.
