shiraoki (racehorse)

Japanese racehorse from the post-war period. She is best known as a prolific broodmare, whose mare-line is still extant and active today.

She is the mare-line ancestor of Special Week (her great x2-grandson), Matikanefukukitaru (her great x3-grandson) and Vodka (her great x4-granddaughter). In the context of Umamusume, she is refered to like a Shinto deity by Matikanefukukitaru as "Shiraoki-sama" and is often depicted as a look-alike of her descendant.
