Stage name for the Japanese Pop star Yumiko Shiina (椎名 裕美子 Shiina Yumiko, born November 25, 1978), known for her enigmatic, meaningful lyrics and the way she pronounces her words. Her career began as a solo artist and she achieved much critical and popular acclaim before she joined Tokyo Jihen. Her stay with the band proved to be only temporary as she has become a solo artist once again.
