Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata (abbrev. Saekano, English: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend) is a series of light novels written by Maruto Fumiaki with illustrations by Misaki Kurehito.
The story follows Aki Tomoya, a high school student who recruits his friends to help him create a visual novel based on his classmate, Katou Megumi.
The series has received multiple adaptations: a manga series with art by Moriki Takeshi (and two further manga spinoff series), an anime series with two seasons by A-1 Pictures, a Playstation Vita visual novel, and a movie by CloverWorks that premiered October 2019.
