RPG, short for ручной противотанковый гранатомёт/Ruchnoy Protivotankovy Granatomyot in Russian, which translates to "hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher", refers to a hand-held weapon originally developed to destroy tanks and bunkers and comes in a variety of shapes, designs, purposes, and types. Although the RPG-7 is the poster-child for the weapon, it is far from being the only type of RPG in the world.

It is commonly known under the backronym Rocket-Propelled Grenade in the United States even though not all of the designs are rocket-propelled.

This tag is intended to be used for describing rocket launchers that has strong resemblance with the popular RPG-7, regardless of specified designated name. Do not use this for role-playing games.
