Rika, known as Chili (チリ) in Japan, is a member of Elite Four of the Paldea region in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. She also serves as the receptionist for the Pokémon League, interviewing the player during the first part of the Champion Assessment. She specializes in Ground-type Pokémon, her ace being Clodsire.
She has a laidback and easygoing personality. In the original Japanese she speaks in the Kansai dialect, though she will temporarily drop it when conducting the interview. She refers to the player as "kiddo" and has a distinct "nahaha" laugh.
Owing to her Japanese name, she is popularly represented by the 🌶️ (chili pepper) emoji among Japanese fanartists.
