putit

The Elona version of the basic slime monster, a direct reference to the iconic mascot characters of Dragon Quest.

Like most slime monsters in RPGs that directly reference Dragon Quest, the standard types are some of the weakest monsters in the game, (although snails are still weaker,) but more powerful palette-swap versions exist.

Putits are blue-gray and jelly bean-shaped with a pointy "tail", and have two black dot eyes. They are otherwise featureless and often semi-transparent.

Unlike other games' slimes, putits are specifically listed as being loved by women in their game world, as their "meat" is considered "great for the skin", and eating a putit corpse gives massive training to charisma. Players often ranch putits for this reason.

Elona+ putits and slimes can be evolved into slime girls if female, or ropers if male.
