The Pușcă Automată model 1986 or PM md. 86 is an assault rifle introduced in 1986 anf chambered in 5.45×39mm cartridge. It is the Romanian equivalent of the Soviet AK-74. The weapon is recognizable by its longer muzzle device, 45 degree gas block, clothes hanger-shaped wire folding stock, and lower handguard with a vertical foregrip.
This tag also apply to the PA md. 97, 5.56mm NATO variant introduced in 1997.
