paulo (pokemon)
Paulo, known as Kiriya (キリヤ) in Japan, is a character introduced in Pokémon Masters EX. He is one of the protagonist's rivals, and a major character in the game's Villain Arc, incluiding his titular chapter, the Paulo Interlude. Paulo grew up in the same town as his friend, Tina.
His partner Pokémon is Rockruff, but he eventually gives up on it to use stronger Pokémon, from those he borrowed, to Lear's own Hoopa, which he uses to summon Legendary Pokémon as the temporary leader of Team Break. Rockruff would later rejoin Paulo and evolve into Lycanroc.
