Eleventh-grader Hata Kousaku fell into a depression following the sudden retirement of Kusakabe Yuka, a nationally-renowned idol singer of his age, only to discover a few days later that she transferred into his alma mater, Tamo Agricultural School, under her real name, Kinoshita Ringo. Together with his childhood friends Nakazawa Minori and Kamatori Kei, Kousaku takes the rare opportunity to learn what is she doing in the countryside, and perhaps befriend her.
