The tenth generation of the Nissan Skyline, produced from 1998 to 2000. Arguably one of the most recognizable iterations of the car.

This was the final Skyline generation to have a GT-R variant. The GT-R badge would again be put on hiatus until 2009, when Nissan released the Nissan GT-R as a dedicated supercar and successor to the Skyline GT-R line.

The R34 had several appearances in popular media. In several Fast & Furious films it is driven by Brian O'Connor, in Initial D it is driven by Hoshino Kozo, and in Wangan Midnight two R34s are driven by Yamamoto Kazuhiko and Goto Gen. It also remains a staple of many racing game rosters to this day, having also been the cover car for multiple Need for Speed games - namely Underground and Payback.
