nemo (nadia)

ネモ ネモ船長 エルシス・ラ・アルウォール

A fictional character from Fushigi No Umi No Nadia. He is capitan of the submarine (and later spacecraft) Nautilus.

He is based on the classic science fiction literary character of Captain Nemo from Jules Verne's novel - 20,000 Leauges Under the Sea.

The visual character design of Nemo was also based on that of Bruno J. Global from Choujikuu Yousai Macross.

It is eventually revealed in the series that his true name is "Eleusis La Arwall", and that he is the biological father of Nadia and the rightful ruler of Atlantis.
