need for speed: carbon

A 2006 entry in the Need for Speed franchise, and direct sequel to Most Wanted. Despite being a sequel to MW, Carbon featured different progression, mostly focused around winning races to capture parts of the city. The most notable feature of the game are the Canyon Battles, 1v1 boss races on narrow, winding roads inspired by Japanese touge racing.

While the game's cover depicts a Canyon Battle between a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and a 3rd gen Dodge Challenger, the most well known car from this installment is the Audi R8 (listed under its concept name of Audi Le Mans Quattro) driven by the main antagonist Darius.
