nagoya (city)

One of Japan's major cities. The capital of Aichi Prefecture and the largest city in the Chubu region.

Home to the Atsuta Shrine (where the Kusanagi sword, one of the three Imperial Regalia of Japan, is housed), Nagoya Castle (where Oda Nobunaga was born according to legend in 1534), and Nakamura Park (where Toyotomi Hideyoshi was born in 1537).
