monty oum (creator)

Monyreak "Monty" Oum (June 22, 1981 - February 1, 2015) was a web-based American animator and writer who produced videos of crossovers between different series on his own time. He produced Haloid, a Halo and Metroid fan video, and Dead Fantasy, an incomplete fighting crossover between Dead or Alive and Final Fantasy. Professionally, he was hired by Rooster Teeth to make animations for Red vs. Blue, and created the CGI animation RWBY.

Oum passed away on February 1, 2015 due to severe allergic reaction.
