A high-performance sports car produced by Mercedes-Benz. Began production in 2014, replacing the SLS AMG.

The AMG GT has GT4, GT3, and GT2 homologated racecar variants, and is extremely popular in every class it is available in. The GT3 version is used in the IMSA SportsCar Championship, GT World Challenge Europe (as well as the other GTWC regions), Super GT, Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, and various other leagues throughout the world. The platform's motorsport popularity is attributed to several factors, including it's affordability (relative to other cars in the same class), how easily controllable it is for amateur drivers, and a solid customer support system from Mercedes.
