Humanoid, bipedal cats called Lynians from the video game series Monster Hunter.
They can be distinguished by their black and white fur, in contrast to the white and brown fur of their cousins, Felynes.
They're capable of speaking the human language and often find their way into human villages, finding employment as servants, surveyors, or hunting partners.
Wild Melynx are more opportunistic and travel in groups, stealing items from hunters and hoarding them back in their den.
