mega charizard y

One of two Mega-Evolved forms of Charizard, which debuted in Pokemon XY. Charizard can attain this form when holding a Charizardite Y. Mega Evolution grants it a more streamlined physique with wing-like protrusions on its arms, a far longer tail, a crown-like crest adorning its head and much larger wings that greatly enhance its already amazing flight capabilities.

Its Special Attack rises drastically over the course of Mega Evolution, and it also has increased Attack and Special Defense. Its Ability, Drought, summons harsh sunlight for 5 turns, further bolstering Mega Charizard Y's Fire-type moves.

Its counterpart is Mega Charizard X.
