mechagodzilla

A giant mechanical copy of Godzilla first appeared in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla. Being one of the most well-known kaiju of the series.

In many of its subsequent appearance, it was created by the Earth Defense Force using the bones of the original Godzilla that made a landfall on Japan in 1950s, and to be used to fight against various kaijus, including other Godzillas.
