mark i tank
The Mark I Tank was the first tank to enter production during World War I. Rhomboidal in shape and bearing weapons in sponsons on either side of the armored hull, it was designed to break the stalemate of trench warfare. The Mark I in particular included a pair of large wheels behind the tank to aid steering, although these proved unsuccessful and were later dropped.
