mako mori

森マコ

A fictional female character from the Pacific Rim science fiction mecha series. She appears in the first 2013 live action film and its 2018 sequel, Pacific Rim: Uprising.

In the events of the first movie Mako Mori is a young Japanese Jaeger mecha pilot with streaked blue and black hair and a bob cut. She is very brave and skilled at combat, yet very gentle, tender and humane.

In the sequel set 10 years later Mako has become a highly respected (and very efficient) Pan Pacific Defense Corps senior officer. She sadly (apparently) perished some time later when her transport helicopter was shot down by a rogue Jaeger mecha during a fierce battle in the city of Sidney (Australia) near a PPDC base.

In real life she is played by Japanese actress Kikuchi Rinko, while her younger self is played by Ashida Mana.
