m41a pulse rifle

M-41A m41a

A fictional futuristic weapon that first appeared in the Aliens action and horror science fiction film from the 80s.

The ARMAT M41A Pulse Rifle is the standard issue combat rifle of the Colonial Marine Corps.

It is made of advanced lightweight and highly resistant alloys and is also equipped with a digital ammo counter and a progressive trigger. Given its small size, high rate of fire, accuracy and caliber is used both as an assault rifle and a submachine gun. The M41 uses 99 round caseless ammunition magazines and fires a 10 mm armor piercing projectile.

It is an advanced firearm that is best used in short controlled bursts given its rapidly depleting ammunition due to a very high rate of fire.

Each Pulse Rifle also possess an underslung 30 mm integrated grenade launcher with a 4 round capacity. It is able to fire standard explosive, HE and incendiary grenade rounds.

In real life the M41 prop was designed by Stan Winston and James Cameron in the mid eighties using parts from a Thompson submachine gun and a SPAS-12.
