Virgulino Ferreira da Silva (b. 7 June 1897, d. 28 July 1938) better known as Lampião

Notorious Brazilian bandit and leader of the cangaceiros in the Northeast. Rising to infamy in the early 20th century, engaged in audacious raids, challenging authorities and gaining both fear and admiration from locals. His blend of violence and a perceived code of justice made him a folk hero to some.

He was Killed in 1938 in a police ambush, ending an era marked by both chaos and defiance in Brazil's history, with his legacy remaining as subject of fascination and debate, embodying a complex figure whose legend persists in Brazilian culture.
